Saddle Up a Longhorn
The New Mexico Ag Expo will welcome back the Texas Longhorn steers from the herd of the Folsom Falls Ranch near Folsom, NM.
Fred Balmer and a crew of three or four Texas Longhorns and an equal number of unorthodox cowboys and cowgirls will be on hand to show off the impressive size and horns of this historic breed. Fred’s Longhorns are a little different from most as they saddle up the bovines and ride them in the Ag Expo parade twice a day.
They’ll also be on hand to answer questions and kids of all ages can have their photo taken next to the Longhorn celebrities.
Plans are also under way this year for Fred to bring along a gang of gunfighters that could liven up the Expo with a shootout or two.
