Advances in Dairy Reproduction
Portales, NM — The dairy business has been anything but fun over the last year, yet up or down cows still need to be milked. Business decisions and economics dramatically affect what is feasible in the operation but the fundamentals of managing cows still have to be evaluated daily. One of the basic bottom lines of dairy production, if cows aren’t breeding back and producing a calf there is no milk going in the tank and regardless of milk prices – no milk - no money. With that in mind the 17th Annual New Mexico Ag Expo is proud to bring Dr. Ellen Jordan, Dairy Specialist for Texas Agri-Life to talk about “Advances in Dairy Reproduction.” Dr. Jordan will present her talk on Wednesday, February 24th at 10 a.m. in the Dairy Pavilion. She will discuss all aspects of managing reproduction in order to maximize performance in these tough times.
