The Future of Wind Energy Portales, NM — Wind energy continues to show great potential and provide great interest for land owners and energy groups. The 18th Annual New Mexico Ag Expo is proud to sponsor a seminar on Tuesday, February 23rd at 10 a.m. in the lecture hall of the Dairy Pavilion on the Roosevelt County Fairgrounds discussing the future of wind energy in New Mexico. The Ag Expo will bring Mr. Robert Lumpkin and Mr. Rory McMinn to Portales to discuss wind energy in New Mexico and new developments in this emerging industry. As a Wind Energy Consultant, Mr. Lumpkin will bring years of experience dealing with the wind industry and will share his insight into the potential wind energy can offer land owners and communities in the area. Mr. McMinn will discuss the issues related to transmission lines and how this impacts the development of wind farms. This should serve to be a great program for people interested in learning about wind energy.
