Simply Supper

Do you hate to hear those dreaded words. . . “What’s for supper?” Connie Moyers, Roosevelt County Extension Home Economist, has the answer. She will present a cooking school featuring “Simply Supper” Wednesday, Feb. 20, during the 21st New Mexico Ag Expo sponsored by Plateau.

Participants will receive simple recipes, tips and hints that will make this task easier. The cooking school will be held in the Cacahuate Room of the Jake Lopez Building on the Roosevelt County Fairgrounds at 10 a.m. The school is sponsored by U.S. Bank.

Insect Pest Management in Hay

The 21st Annual New Mexico Ag Expo, sponsored by Plateau, is pleased to bring Dr. Jane Breen Pierce, New Mexico State Extension Entomologist to discuss “Insect Pest Management in Hay.”

The seminar is at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19 in the McAlister Room of the Jake Lopez Bldg. on the Roosevelt County Fairgrounds. It is sponsored by Roosevelt County Electric Cooperative. This course has been approved by the New Mexico Department of Agriculture for one continuing education unit (CEU) to be applied toward a private applicator’s license.

Panel Discussion on Issues Facing the Beef Industry

Navigating the beef industry is challenging to say the least given the production and economic climate of the last two years. Surviving to fight again will require evaluating every option and possibility available to beef producers.
